A PC project.
A clearer way in.

Searching for a God of War 3 PC port usually leads to three questions: is it real, where do I get it, and will it run on my PC?

The community project gow3_pc runs the PS4 Remastered game with a custom runtime and a Vulkan graphics backend derived from shadPS4. It is unofficial, and the program download includes no game files. This site helps you check the details before you start.

The questions worth answering before you download anything.

Is this an official God of War 3 PC release?

No. This guide covers FelipePrado0/gow3_pc, an independent community project for the PS4 Remastered version. It is separate from Sony’s releases and requires your own game files.

Does the download include the game?

No. Project release packages contain the program, not the commercial game. You need a compatible game dump before the launcher can start it.

Check what to download
Can I use the PS3 version or an RPCS3 save?

This project targets God of War III Remastered for PS4. A PS3 game dump is a different build. The project also states that RPCS3 saves are incompatible.

Is Steam Deck support working now?

The project offers an experimental Linux AppImage. Release 2.3.0 reports a fix for RADV block corruption, confirmed upstream on Steam Deck. This does not establish a stable frame rate or full-game compatibility for every device.

Why does a high FPS setting break a QTE or ledge?

The 2.3.0 notes still list progress and button-mashing problems at higher engine frame rates. The documented workaround is to use a 60 FPS engine rate for the affected section.
